Asalamualaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu to all our readers. Today we will discuss short darood sharif in English and for problems.
Durood sharif is another common way of saying sending Salawat to the Prophet.
We send Salawat to him every time we hear his name. However, it is important that we say it on our own time as well! There are many benefits to reciting Durood Sharif that will shock many of you.
If you want Allah to increase your rank, get your dua accepted, wipe away sins, and keep reading.
Many people don’t understand just how lucrative the word salawat is. Many of us have said it more times than we can count, but we have still never learned its benefits.
The first time you hear the Prophet’s name,. You must send Salawat.

All of the following times are not mandatory; however, we greatly urge you to do them.
Allah has placed so much baraka and khair on the person who sends Salawat constantly. Don’t be greedy with your tongue. Add durood sharif to your list of daily adhkars (think).
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The most stingy of those who are stingy is the one whom I am mentioned in his presence, and he does not send salat upon me”.
Sunan al-Tirmidh 3546
Making dua for someone else, especially when you’re in hardship, is a beautiful, selfless act.
Certainly, Allah loves such pure acts of faith.
This is not to say never to make dua for yourself, for surely Allah always listens to dua. What it is saying is that you have to place importance on what Allah told us.
Such as salah, siyyam (fasting), zakat (charity), etc.

In this same way, we should fulfil what Allah expects of us. Then, inshallah, he will fulfill our every need in this life and the hereafter.
“Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will send blessings upon him tenfold and will erase from him ten sins and raise him ten degrees in status.” Saheeh Sunan an-Nasa’i (1297)
This is a beautiful sahih hadith that explains how just one salam can benefit us more than we ever thought. Allah loves for us to obey him and to do good, and his favourite act for us to complete is that which is made mandatory for us.
Allah commands us in the Holy Quran to send salawat to the Prophet. Surely Allah only commands us what benefits us.
“Allah sends His Salaah (Graces, Blessings, Mercy) on the Prophet, and also His angels ( ask Allah to bless and forgive him).
O you who believe! Send your Salah on (ask Allah to bless) him, and greet him with the Islamic way of greeting (Salamu’ Alaykum).”
[Quran: al-Ahzab 33:56]
Many times people wonder if saying a short word is sufficient or if they should say the whole Attahiyatu, as we say in salah.
In this Quranic verse, we learn that Allah has commanded us to put salawat on him in a manner of saying salam to anyone else.
This being said, you can choose to say a short durood and it will be good. However, the more you recite, the better it is for you.
Just as if someone were to say Asalamualaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu in comparison to just saying Asalamualaykum.
O Messenger of Allah, I want to send more blessings upon you; how much of my supplication should I allocate to that?
He said, "Whatever you wish." I said, One quarter? He said, "Whatever you wish, if you do more, it will be better for you." I said, Half? He said, "Whatever you wish, if you do more, it will be better for you." I said, Two thirds? He said, "Whatever you wish, if you do more, it will be better for you. I said, Shall I make all of my supplication for that? He said, "Then your worries will be taken care of, and your sin will be forgiven."

As stated earlier, you don’t have to stop making dua for yourself. However, this hadith does highlight the forgotten importance of this act.
Nonetheless, Allah is the ultimate sustainer and provider. Do you think he doesn’t know what you want?
Do you think he is incapable of understanding his creation? Allah (swt) knows what you desire more than you do yourself.
Your Niyya (intentions) in doing any action is what our Lord will reward you with.
Continue to remain certain that Allah (swt) is with you, and that he understands you. Having sabre (patience) and full faith (awake) is crucial.
Many times, we ask, “Why isn’t our dua being accepted?” and the answer could be a multitude of reasons.
However, one that is most neglected is sending Salawat to the Prophet.
Dua is suspended between heaven and earth, and none of it is taken up until you send blessings upon your Prophet (ﷺ).”
(Classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.)
As Muslims, we are encouraged to make dua not just for ourselves but for others. We shouldn’t be so close minded as to only think of our problems and how we feel. Allah knows that countless people are dealing with the same and even worse.
We may send dua for our loved ones, family, friends, the deceased, etc. However, we neglect to take time to praise the one Allah has commanded us to praise. Our very own Prophet sent for us until the end of time. He is the best of prophets and the best of people.
“Whoever forgets to send blessings upon me has missed a path to paradise.”
Saheeh Sunan Ibn Mājah 908
This life passes by in the blink of an eye. You don’t want to have missed it and realized Jannah was so close.
When perhaps all you needed was to say some more salawat. May Allah (swt) make Jannat-al Firdous our final destination.
Finally, here are the Duroods that you can recite!
This is the full Attahiyatu said in prayer:
Due to Allah, everything is good/pure; Allah is the source of all praise; Allah is the source of all prayers.
Allah’s mercy and blessings are upon you, O Prophet. Peace be upon us, Allah’s virtuous slaves.
I testify that only Allah is worthy of worship, and I testify that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad just as You have sent prayers upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. You are the Praiseworthy, the Glorious.
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad just as You have blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim.
Indeed, You are the Praiseworthy, the Glorious.
صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم
May Allah put peace and honour on the Prophet
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ
May Allah put prayers and peace on our Prophet.
