In our daily lives, we are used to stumbling upon problems frequently, especially in communities and within a modern world where being Muslim has internal struggles, and the world is even more complex for most believers. Don’t worry, today we will give 5 Surahs for Peace of Mind. So, read this article properly.

Luckily, from my own experience in my daily life, Islam has always been the best solution to turn to and the best reliever of stress for all inquiries I have in my life.

The best advice I give to all young and old Muslims is that Islam always has the answers to your problems.

In the following article, I’ll discuss the most common problem many young Muslims face: stress.

Luckily, as mentioned earlier, the Quran and Islam were made to bring us peace, which is the primary goal.

Whether internal, external, or peace of mind, here are some surahs I recommend from my struggles that helped me overcome them and can help anyone reading!

1. Surah Al-Fatiha (The Opening)

From the beginning, Surah Al-Fatiha has been quite a valuable surah for my daily life. It’s also named the opening because it comes at the start of the Quran before you begin reading.

And daily throughout salah, we already use it unknowingly, knowing the incredible blessings that come from us calling to Allah every day.

While used in salah, this Surah also represents how prayer is a great way to help relieve stress, better than meditation or any other external form, because you can find peace in yourself, and peace makes Allah happy.

Why it brings peace:

  • It reminds everyone of the mercy of Allah and his compassion.
  • It reassures us that Allah is the best of planners and to solve them
  • It helps us seek help from Allah alone, which in turn helps us reinforce our faith.

When you find yourself in a state of uncertainty or anxiety, I strongly recommend reciting Surah Al-Fatiha. This practice is a powerful reminder that you are never alone and that Allah is always there to assist you in your most challenging moments.

2. Surah Al-Ikhlas (The Purity)

Surah Al-Ikhlas is one of the shortest in the Quran but one of the most potent Surahs.

Its effectiveness makes it ideal for daily recitation. You should recite this Surah, especially when you are feeling stressed.

This Surah makes you feel closer to Allah Taala. Due to this, we constantly think that Allah Taala is very close to us.

Why it brings peace:

  • It helps us support the main principle of Islam and its belief in constantly reminding us of Allah’s power and the fact that someone can never be found in comparison.
  • Surah Al-Ikhlas helps us remember how Islam is simple, easy to understand, and pure in faith.
  • It reminds us of our beliefs’ clear and pure nature, which can help clear and ease our minds.
  • It can be a welcoming source of comfort, which proves that Allah (SWT) is sufficient for all our needs.

Reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas can genuinely help many Muslims clear their minds and focus on what truly matters—your relationship with Allah.

3. Surah Al-Falaq (The Daybreak)

Surah Al-Falaq is a mighty prayer for protection against all evils and dangers in daily life.

From personal experience, I always recite it before I sleep and when I wake up as a simple habit.

It asks and calls to Allah to protect us from evil eyes, harm, and other dangers that can be inflicted upon us, such as envy, evil, and many other hidden dangers.

Why it brings peace:

  • It helps to provide a sense of safety and protection from unseen harm and security.
  • It encourages us to rely on Allah for protection.
  • It also helps to reduce fear and anxiety by seeking refuge in Allah’s power.

So, it’s always good to recite Surah Al-Falaq whenever you feel nervous or anxious.

It can provide holy protection against all harm and dangers, provide mental support, and calm your nerves.

4. Surah An-Nas (The Mankind)

Surah An-Nas is similar to Surah Al-Falaq, which you can recite to stop evil physically and spiritually and seek refuge in Allah Ta’ala.

Why it brings peace:

  • Surah An-Nas helps us to seek refuge in Allah Ta’ala over all the evils of creation that may be within us, such as fear.
  • This is such a decisive Surah that it forms a protective shield around us, and we feel safe.
  • It comforts us that Allah Ta’ala is the protector and that He is the best one who protects us.
  • By doing this, you move towards the help of Allah Ta’ala, and your stress and anxiety end.
  • Recite this Surah whenever you feel down and have negative thoughts or feelings, and all those negative thoughts will disappear.

5. Surah Al-Duha (The Morning Brightness)

Surah Al-Duha was one of the surahs revealed during a challenging period in Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) life.

It was also shown to support him.

It reminds us that after every hardship comes ease and that Allah (SWT) has not forsaken us.

Why it brings peace:

  • Helps to calm us that Allah (SWT) is always with us, even in tough times when things seem impossible.
  • It reminds us that after every hardship, there will be relief.
  • Promote thanksgiving and positive thinking by reflecting on Allah’s blessings.

So, as a reminder to all young Muslims and anyone reading, if you’re feeling down or discouraged, reciting Surah Al-Duha can help uplift your spirits and remind you that brighter days are ahead.
